Workplace Accommodation

Western is committed to diversity and inclusiveness. This includes supporting employees and job applicants with disabilities and embracing religious diversity.

Disability Accommodations

Those in need of an accommodation in order to participate in the recruitment, selection and/or employment process are encouraged to reach out to Human Resources, who will then engage in the interactive process to provide reasonable accommodations to employees with disabilities to enable them to perform the essential functions of their job.

Those needing an accommodation to participate in a WWU sponsored public event are to contact the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX Compliance. Students needing disability accommodations for academic purposes are to contact the Disability Access Center.

Religious Accommodations

The University will make a good faith effort to provide a reasonable accommodation for an employee's sincerely held religious belief, unless the University believes such an accommodation would create an undue hardship or goes against our commitment to diversity and inclusiveness. Students who seek religious accommodations in the academic setting should contact the Office of Student Life.
