Student Employment questions:
Student Orientation & Onboarding
All new employees must go through an onboarding process. The process includes completing required paperwork and training, and in most cases, attending orientation.

In accordance with the WWU-WAWU CBA, ESEs are required to attend one session of the New Student Employee Orientation. To meet this requirement, student employee orientation can be with the individual department or with Human Resources (HR). HR hosts regularly scheduled new-hire orientations that include break-out sessions with WAWU representatives:

Transportation
Food Assistance/SNAP
Groceries are expensive! DSHS will be on campus to help students through the entire application process for SNAP (food assistance) benefits. If you, have work study, or work at least 20 hours a week, or if you have dependents, you may qualify. Must have a WA state Id and you cannot have a campus meal plan.
