Onboarding
HR's onboarding team has continuously been working on improving gaps in the onboarding process. In addition to our new process to reduce time to create new employee accounts, we have also implemented a new training resource for those involved in the hiring process. - New Hiring Process for NTT Pool Positions
- We have updated our NTT hiring process. You no longer need to request a pool copy to extend an offer. Instead, you can now directly access your pool, move the candidate to the "Request to Offer" status, and complete the necessary form for approval routing.

- Did you know that contrary to popular belief, a candidate’s experience extends beyond the hiring decision? Candidates who are not selected for a particular position may be ideal candidates for future openings. Maintaining communication with candidates who were not selected for a position is crucial for sustaining their interest in future opportunities at Western.
- Here are some guidelines for effectively communicating with applicants who were not selected for the position. PageUp enables you to send a standardized message to multiple applicants simultaneously, or individually as needed.
- Important Notice: Tara Terry will be shifting her focus and bringing her strengths and years of “banner back-end experience" to the HRIS Data Team. For any employment-related questions or inquiries, please direct them to Stephanie Norsby during this time.
Reminder from HRIS
All PAs, including those with corrections, must be sent to HR.Forms@wwu.edu rather than directly to a member of the HRIS team's inbox. Sending them to a team member's personal inbox risks them being overlooked if that person is out of the office.
New Hire Paperwork
Just a reminder that no appointment is needed to complete paperwork with HR! All new employees must complete a form I-9 which provides documentation that you are eligible to work in the U.S. prior to starting work.

M-F from 8am - 5pm
Closed for lunch from 12:00pm - 1:00pm
(office is closed major holidays).

This department addresses inquiries, manages documentation, and stays updated on policy changes.
